Member of the board of directors since 2005
Asociologist by training, Jean Pronovost worked at the Ministry of Education, in particular as Executive Director of College Education and Deputy Minister.
He then served as Deputy Minister in a number of Ministries, including the Ministry of Labour and Revenue Security, the Ministry of the Environment and Fauna, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and the Metropolis, and the Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Exports. He was also appointed Deputy Secretary General of the Executive Council of Quebec and CEO of the Labour Standards Commission. He chaired the Quebec Commission on the future of agriculture and agrifood, which published a report entitled “Agriculture and Agrifood: Securing and Building the Future” in 2008.He sat on the boards of directors of SGF, Investissement Québec and Montréal International.
He currently chairs the Boards of Directors of the Société de développement des entreprises culturelles (SODEC) and innoVactiv, and also serves as member of the Boards of Directors of Financement-Québec and the Violons du Roy.
Jean Pronovost is a founding member of the Réseau d’expertise en conseil strategique, a network attached to the École nationale d’admnistration publique (ENAP).
