Denis Faubert was appointed President and CEO of the Consortium for Research and Innovation in Aerospace in Quebec (CRIAQ) and of the Consortium for Aerospace Research and Innovation in Canada (CARIC) in 2014.
Mr. Faubert holds a Bachelors degree in Physics from the Royal Military College Saint-Jean and a Doctorate in Laser Physics from University Laval. He has an impressive track record with various provincial and federal institutions. While at Defence Research and Development Canada, he served as Director General of the Valcartier Research Centre from 1998 to 2005 and as Director General of the National Research Program in Ottawa for two years. From 2007 to 2014, he was General Manager of the Hydro-Quebec Research Institute (IREQ).
Mr. Faubert has been recognized with many distinctions, including notably the National Research Council Canada’s prestigious Centennial Scholarship, the Deputy Minister of National Defence’s Innovation Award (2005) and University Laval’s Faculty of Science Summa-Carrière Award (2008).
