Yvon Gasse, Ph. D.

Yvon Gasse is a Professor in the Management Department of the Faculty of Business Administration of Université Laval where he is also the Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and SMEs and holder of the Chair for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. His fields of expertise cover entrepreneurship, innovation and the strategic management of SMEs. He has authored or co-authored close to 20 books and more than 150 scientific and professional publications.
He has participated in a number of international missions and has been invited as a lecturer, roundtable participant and professor throughout Canada and abroad. He is involved in a number of boards of directors, scientific councils, commissions and editorial boards. He is a member of about 20 academic, professional and business organizations. He was named Fellow of the Corporation des administrateurs agréés, Fellow of the International Council for Small Business, and has received the Mecuriades Merit Award for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship from the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec, an honorary doctorate from the Université de Valenciennes in France and the Julien-Marchesnay Prize for entrepreneurship from the AIREPME.
Yvon Gasse was Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, MBA Director, Research Laboratory Director, International Relations Director and Director of Canada's Institute for Research and Public Policy's SME program for 10 years. He developed the TV series entitled “Posséder mon enterprise”, and the “Création et développement d’entreprise”, “Gestion de la croissance d’une PME” and “Project d’entreprise” televised classes. He created Université Laval’s Centre for Entrepreneurship and Small Business, and Entrepreneuriat Laval inc. to promote and support student entrepreneurship. He heads a number of international cooperative projects throughout the world. He is also a visiting professor at a number of European universities and is involved in multiple scientific, university and professional networks.
