Reporting to the Vice President - Business Development and Partnerships, the Business Unit Manager ensures that a client-centered approach is taken in establishing business relations so as to fully understand clients' needs with respect to technology solutions. In that regard, the Manager sees to the development and enhancement of the solutions under his or her responsibility. Other challenges include expanding the clientele base and growing the order book, preparing and carrying out the solutions marketing plan, and making certain that the business unit is generating profits.
The Business Unit Manager forges and develops successful long-term relationships with the clients, organizations and institutions relevant to his or her industry. In addition to generating and closing sales, he or she capably manages incoming orders through the Customer Management System (CMS) and crafts and executes the marketing plan and campaigns targeting the specific industrial sector.
Driven to meet clients' expressed needs and expectations, the Business Unit Manager ensures that the activities of his or her business unit are skillfully carried out to completion. Responsible for preparing proposals and tenders for clients, the Manager also recommends technology development axes to meet those expressed needs or even to be ahead of clients, in terms of what they need.
The Business Unit Manager prepares business cases in order to secure internal financing for the development of his or her business sector's technological capacity and solutions. When it comes to managing major multi-sector accounts and partners, and coordinating satellite offices' operations and objectives, the Manager works closely with the Vice President, Business Development and Partnership.
