Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, the Optical Specialist's primary role is to ensure that the technical team delivers a solution that wholly responds to the client's needs. Once the client has explained a given problem to the Optical Specialist, the latter then acts as the technical intermediary with the INO team of technical experts tasked with developing a solution.
In addition, the Optical Specialist acts as an in-house representative of clients with respect to achieving a good fit between commercial issues/needs and the solutions developed. This requires that the Optical Specialist have a good grasp and understanding of the customer's needs (compliance matrix).
The Optical specialist supports business development efforts during customer meetings, he elaborates proposals/quotations (initial steps of development), as well as business cases for key problems of the industry. He facilitates contact between customer and headquarters during projects
The territory that will be covered will be mainly Ontario and possibly western Canada.
