The project manager leads projects to completion by planning, coordinating and controlling all related activities. They identify and assess inherent project risks and manage any impacts, both during and upon completion of the project. They act as a guide for dedicated teams to ensure projects are delivered according to INO quality standards, on time and within the established budget. They act as a resource person and liaise between expert groups and the project clients. They actively participate in the development of project proposals.

The must-haves

  • University degree in science and engineering in a discipline relevant to learning, understanding and maintaining knowledge about innovation in optics-photonics;
  • Bilingualism (French / English, spoken and written)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within a company in a technical or high-tech environment working in project mode
  • You are PMP certified
  • You have extensive experience using MS Project Server software and the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming language
  • You have knowledge of the following programs and regulations (an asset):
    • International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
    • Controlled Goods Program
    • Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
    • Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS)
    • NASA FAR Supplement (NFS)
