Job description

Reporting to the Vice-President, Corporate Affairs, the Director – Quality is responsible for creating an organizational focus based on best practices in quality assurance management for his or her sector of activity.

The Director monitors quality and continuous improvement standards and best practices, makes recommendations to the management committee as to the standards and best practices that must guide the company in order for it to meet its clients’ and partners’ requirements, and to ensure that they are firmly established and maintained.

While supervising a two-person team, the Director – Quality ensures that the areas of expertise under his or her responsibility are covered, namely the management of:


  • of the methodologies, tools and indicators used
  • of the quality approach, both internal and external
  • of certification bodies and administrative authorities.


  • documentary management systems
  • the conservation and protection of documents and information.

In more fundamental terms, the Director – Quality will develop, improve and maintain the quality system, processes, policies and procedures in accordance with the organization’s quality system. The Director’s expertise in identifying, assessing and carrying out continuous improvement projects, as regards all of INO’s internal processes, will be frequently called on. He or she will be responsible for managing current and future ISO certification and piloting internal audits to ensure the effectiveness of the quality management system processes and provide opportunities for improvement.

Professional profile sought

  • University degree in engineering or other relevant field
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in quality management
  • Mastery of quality systems and ISO 9001 and 13485 standards
  • Training in different quality methods and tools such as Six Sigma
  • Heightened ability to identify legal and commercial risks in a contractual situation and to make any corrections needed for negotiation
  • Skilled in personnel management
  • Excellent writing and communication skills (French and English).
