What challenges can you expect?

As a researcher, member of the Systems group, you will actively take part in the design, production, characterization and prototyping of infrared imaging instruments and systems, primarily for the space and aerospace sectors and occasionally for the civil and defense sectors. You will effectively work within multidisciplinary project teams.

In the course of your work, you will collaborate closely with an experienced team of researchers, engineers and technologists from a number of disciplines.

The must-haves

  • You have a Master’s or Doctorate in engineering physics, electrical engineering, and physics or in a related field.
  • You are familiar with passive infrared imaging, radiometry and the elaboration of infrared vision systems.
  • You have solid experience in the design, integration and testing of high-tech instruments and systems.
  • You master system engineering concepts.
  • Your knowledge of space instruments and systems and related requirements is a significant asset.
  • Your knowledge of biometric infrared detectors and other detectors is an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of optomechanics, optics and electronics are also assets.

To make our team all the more awesome, it would be great if you:

  • had a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience
  • are able to make connections and interactions between different components of complex systems
  • are at ease working in a multidisciplinary and multi-project context
  • are able to express yourself with ease in spoken and written French and English
  • are pro-active, energetic, organized and independent.
