Quantum technologies are now driving major global technological trends. They are recognized as disruptive and, as such, as generator of strong strategic and economic impacts worldwide. INO desires to deploy an efficient strategy regarding quantum technology developments addressing the needs of the Canadian and Quebec industries in order to maintain their competitive edge on a global scale.
Moreover, last year, INO launched a novel incubator, Quantino, dedicated to deep tech small enterprises. The incubator is part of a consortium of Quebec incubators whose focus is to foster new companies engaged in product developments that includes quantum technologies.
Based in the head office in Quebec City, the scientific advisor will be responsible for structuring the applied research program in quantum photonic technologies.
To achieve this, the advisor develops and manages a short-, medium- and long-term technology roadmap in quantum photonics that will address industry needs and solutions identified in close collaboration with our business units.
Engaging with the technical teams, the advisor recommends and justifies the strategic technological axes and associated developments she/he puts forward. Relying on her/his expertise, the advisor contributes to the execution of projects, from the onset to the delivery.
The advisor will also contribute to the establishment and activities of an industrial and academic quantum collaboration laboratory hosted in Quantino.
Finally, through proactive management, the advisor coordinates the quantum activities by establishing a coherent alignment with INO's vision, processes, and overall goals.
Working at INO means being part of a strong and talented team that operates in a high-tech environment where ideas are born and materialized and where the company culture gives meaning to the concept of innovation. The advantages of working at INO are numerous:
