Description

Many industrial processes can generate fugitive dust and aerosol emissions that are hazardous to human health as is the case in the mining, bulk materials handling, construction, and transportation industries. Keeping workers and the public safe requires an effective tool that can detect the source of aerosol and dust emissions with precision and accuracy.

Aeromap, INO’s full waveform Lidar system, is the ideal solution for the job.

This high-performance tool is specially designed to map absolute and relative concentrations of dust and aerosols in the air. It can replace hundreds of point sensors.

Based on a complete digital signal acquisition platform, it can measure relative concentrations of aerosols over a range of 150 m (500 ft.) with a resolution up to 20 cm and a typical detection limit of 50 µg/m3 for aerosol concentrations. The system can also be used to map absolute concentrations when combined with an in-situ sensor serving as a calibration point. With its embedded context camera, Aeromap helps define the monitoring area and generates reports accurately identifying aerosol source location.

In addition to being eye safe—which means it can be employed at industrial sites and in cities—Aeromap delivers 2D and 3D maps in near real time and features real-time display of aerosol concentrations. It can be used to trigger alarms, increasing the level of safety for workers and anyone in the selected area.
