INO specialists develop high quality and reliable infrared lenses that can be tailored to virtually any application or camera type. We help our clients get the most out of their infrared imaging systems by designing custom lenses adapted to their specific needs.
From the near-infrared to the far-infrared, we make fixed-focus lenses and motorized zooms for all spectral bands, including SWIR, MWIR, LWIR, and even terahertz. Our innovative solutions are available for both cooled and uncooled cameras (e.g., bolometers) while taking into account constraints such as volume, weight, temperature, humidity, vibrations, and power consumption.
As experts in finding effective solutions, we adapt our approach to the specific needs of each of our clients.

INO has all the necessary expertise for applications requiring an ultralight, compact lens (e.g. portable or airborne systems). We use aspheric components in our solutions to reduce the number of lenses needed—and thus the weight and volume of the camera objective—while at the same time improving optical performance. We also design catadioptric objectives with mirrors that make them shorter and lighter than objectives of the same focal length equipped with lenses only. Our optomechanics experts use state-of-the-art CAD software to minimize the weight of the parts holding optical components in position without compromising the precision and ruggedness of the assembly.
For applications requiring a motorized zoom, INO’s electronic engineers design the power and motor control circuits, and deal with power consumption issues for the device.
