Martin Caron

VP, Development and Engineering

With over 29 years of experience in the technology field, Martin is recognized as a strategic, mobilizing, and visionary leader. The first half of his career saw him develop solutions to ensure the productivity of Quebec manufacturing companies, utilizing vision, automation, advanced processing, and artificial intelligence technologies. During this period, using INO terms, he held the equivalent of our researcher, researcher, technical director, technical director, and solutions director positions at the DI. Subsequently, he focused on all aspects of information management, demonstrating solid expertise in digital transformation, cybersecurity, cloud computing, IT governance, and data mining. His structured and results-oriented approach will undoubtedly assist our organization in its ambitions for growth and innovation.

Throughout his career, Martin has held several management positions in public, private, and parapublic organizations, including Investissement Québec, CAA-Québec, the City of Québec, and CRIQ. He has led large-scale technological projects, such as the development of sensors for optimizing lumber processing, the first implementation of a 3D metal printing medical laboratory in Québec City, the implementation of critical 911 systems, such as radiocommunication and user-assisted dispatch, the consolidation of data centers, and the governance of generative artificial intelligence. With a bachelor's degree in computer engineering and a master's degree in wood science from Université Laval, Martin has demonstrated scientific rigor and practicality throughout his career in implementing innovative solutions with high organizational impact.
