INO members are Canadian companies and organizations interested in playing an active role in the optics and photonics innovation ecosystem.
INO’s membership program is open to businesses and organizations of all sizes interested in playing an active role in the innovation ecosystem by supporting INO in our mission: making innovations happen, so that businesses across the country can be more productive and competitive.
All membership applications must be submitted to and accepted by INO’s Board of Directors.
MEMBER BENEFITS

Participation in a Sectoral Advisory Committee (SAC)
- The member guides INO in making technological development choices and has access to the development roadmap of an INO business unit
- All SAC members meet at least once a year
Collaborative development of solutions
- INO and the member co-fund R&D projects, splitting the cost of eligible expenses 50/50 (activities eligible for R&D tax credits)
- Collaborative investment up to a maximum of $200,000 to $500,000 per year, depending on the type of membership
Activities and visibility
- Participation in the Annual General Meeting
- Right to vote in the Annual General Meeting
- Member logo displayed on INO’s website, with a link to the member’s website
