Vanessa Grondin currently holds the position of Vice-President, Global Head of Strategy, Food & Beverage Industry for the Optel Group. Her role is to define business strategies and to develop product and service offerings for new markets.
Ms. Grondin has more than 10 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, where she has held management positions in R&D, quality control, project management, and food and beverage equipment design. She has extensive experience in food and beverage production, having worked both in start-ups and multinationals.
She has a bachelor’s degree in food engineering and an executive MBA, both from Université Laval. In 2019, she was awarded the Prix Jeune diplômé (young graduate’s award) Raymond-Blais Medal from Université Laval and in 2018, she received the RJCCQ Women’s Leadership Award. Also in 2018, Ms. Grondin was awarded a bursary by the Secrétariat à la Jeunesse. As one of the eight Quebec emerging directors who received this award, she was invited to pursue corporate governance training, leading to the ASC (certified corporate director) designation. Ms. Grondin remains actively involved in her milieu, currently serving as president of the board of the Jeune Chambre de commerce de Québec and as vice-president of the board of Moisson Québec.
