Vanessa Grondin, Eng., EMBA

Vice-President Operations, Interactive Playground

Vanessa Grondin currently serves as Vice President of Operations at Lü Interactive Playground, a company that uses optical technologies in the marketing of technological products specifically aimed at primary school children.

Prior to this, she was VP for Global Sales and Strategy within the Optel group. Her role was to define business strategies and develop the product and service offerings that are being promoted in new markets.

She has worked for more than 10 years in the agri-food industry, where she has held management positions in R&D, quality, project management, and agri-food equipment design. Ms. Grondin boasts solid experience in agri-food production, having worked in both startups and multinationals.

She holds a bachelor's degree in food engineering as well as an executive MBA, both awarded by Laval University. She is the winner of the 2019 Raymond-Blais Medal, the Young Graduate Prize from Laval University. She is also the winner of the 2018 Women's Leadership Award from the Regroupement des Jeunes Chambres de Commerce du Québec. Ms. Grondin obtained a scholarship from the Secrétariat de la Jeunesse in 2018, awarded to eight up-and-coming Quebec administrators, to complete corporate governance training. She earned the ASC qualification in 2020. In 2020, she was a finalist for the Young Businessperson of Quebec - ARISTA Prize from the Jeune Chambre de Commerce de Montréal as well as a finalist for the HONORIS GENIUS Prize for the next generation of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.

Engaged in the sector, Ms. Grondin currently presides over the board of directors of 2 Degrés, a clean technology incubator, and is vice-president of the board of directors of Moisson Québec. She also sits on the Quebec City Airport board of directors.
