Vanessa Grondin is currently Vice President of Global Sales & Strategy, Consumer Package Goods, for the Optel Group. Her role is to define business strategies and develop products and services that are commercialized in new markets.

Ms. Grondin has over 10 years of experience in the agrifood industry, where she has held management positions in R&D, quality control, project management, and food processing equipment design. She has extensive experience in agrifood production, having worked both in start-ups and multinationals.

She has a bachelor’s degree in food engineering and an Executive MBA, both from Université Laval. In 2019, she received the Raymond-Blais Medal and Prix Jeune diplômé Award from Université Laval. In 2018, she received the RJCCQ Women’s Leadership Award and one of eight scholarships from Secrétariat de la Jeunesse granted to up-and-coming Québec directors to attend corporate governance training. She obtained the ASC designation in 2020. In 2020, Ms. Grondin was a finalist for the ARISTA Young Entrepreneur of Québec Award from Jeune Chambre de commerce de Montréal and a finalist for the HONORIS GENIUS relève Award from Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.

She remains actively involved in her milieu, currently serving as board chair of cleantech business incubator 2 Degrés and as board vice-chair of Moisson Québec.
