Camera calibration consists in estimating the intrinsic and extrinsic parameters of one or multiple cameras based on observations of a known physical target. The intrinsic parameters model the internal geometry and optical characteristics of the image sensor. The extrinsic parameters measure the position and orientation of the camera with respect to a world coordinate system in 3D space. Knowing these parameters is required in many different applications of computer vision.
INO offers an easy-to-use tool to achieve reliable calibration of multiple cameras in a matter of minutes. This software implements the entire calibration workflow, from automatic target detection and filtering to camera parameter estimation. The software is versatile and can be configured specifically to suit each application: number and types of cameras, calibration target type and size, volume of interest, etc.
